We haven’t done much advertising for our Baton Rouge film acting school, Love Acting, over the years but recently finally decided to take the plunge into the world of advertising to get the word out in our city about our acting school. We made an ad that will be in the October edition of 225 Magazine— it will be found at the front of their ‘School Guide’ section. Love Acting owner Jency Hogan says, “I’ve always heard that you need to spend 10 percent of your profit on advertising your business, so hopefully with putting an ad in 225 Magazine, this will help the school grow and become even more influential in the city.”

We’ve had Love Acting for 10 years now, and we’ve built some awareness within the city, but know that a lot of people don’t even know we exist. A film acting school is something you’d find in a bigger city, like Los Angeles, New York, or New Orleans, because of the creative projects that are always being made there, so a lot of actors flock to those cities. But our goal is to build and enhance the film industry/commercials here in Baton Rouge with the strong acting talent in our local community.

One of the reasons we started the school is to give people of all ages/professions around Baton Rouge film acting opportunities. We want to make sure that local kids and teens have the ability to start young in learning film acting if they choose to one day try auditioning for the film/television projects. Also, it’s possible for adults with full time careers to try acting as a side hustle, and we have found that many business people of various professions who have joined our class find that they’ve not only enhanced their professional life but also have been opened up to a whole new realm of creativity.

If you normally read the 225 magazine, definitely keep your eye out for our bright green ad in the October issue very soon. We’re so excited to be partnering with 225 Magazine. Check out these photos below taken by Aaron Hogan/Eye Wander Photo.
